10 years ago ALMA, the Director of Children Services at St. Vincent de Paul Village, was there for the very first Christmas Caroling and Limo Party..........I am honored to pass along her thoughts from last night's 10th annual party ....and no, she did not know I was going to do this! :)
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING.
As I was going home last night I thought about the thank you Phil has sent to everyone via email and how he always has a little story to tell that makes everyone smile and I have so many I couldn’t narrow it down:
- How about that over 6 foot tall teenager who sat on Santa’s lap! J

- Or how Warren’s heart got fuzzy and warm when he saw the 3 year old boy playing with his new toy back at the village (he came to drop off the left overs J)

- Or how the parents that I took as volunteers to help out got to go in a limo and all of them (that’s 5 adults) had never been in a limo before and as soon as they got in, started calling friends and family to tell them they were in a limo J

- Or how at the end of the night we were practically pulling teens off of the clowns because they wanted their hand/face painted? These are male teens we are talking about!! J

- And so many more……Kim was so great helping get everything together and Greg was awesome helping out when he heard we were in need at the last minute! And of course Krista and all her crew handling the Santa line and the food so well and Mr. and Mrs. Claus looking so great and authentic teens were in an hour line waiting to sit on his lap!
